美國總統大選結果終於出爐，民主黨總統候選人拜登及副總統候選人賀錦麗勝出，總統蔡英文第一時間，在推特上恭賀，期待共同努力，促進雙方的友誼，為國際社會做出貢獻，總統也邀集行政院長蘇貞昌，及國安外交相關部門首長，召開會議，還有駐美代表蕭美琴視訊聯繫，討論目前情勢發展，而國民黨同樣祝賀拜登與賀錦麗，並希望與中華民國持續互惠合作，並強化夥伴關係。
