空軍台東志航基地今（29）日稍早傳有戰鬥機墜海起火意外，墜機的機型是F-5E戰鬥機，由於機型老舊，稍早執行任務時發動機失效導致飛機失控墜海，駕駛朱姓飛行員在墜海前雖然跳傘成功，不過被救起時，已經沒有生命跡象，經送往醫院搶救後，仍然宣告不治。
