A multi-sport organization, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs. It has more than 700,000 members nationwide, including more than 100,000 volunteers. The AAU was founded on January 21, 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever". Grandmaster Stone clarifies the distinction between the mission of AAU Taekwondo and USA Taekwondo. He outlines the components of the AAU Taekwondo program and his goals as National Chair of this important institution.
