Australian basketball stars Nyadiew Puoch, Chloe Bibby, and Kristy Wallace have been selected in the WNBA expansion draft, joining the Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo. Puoch, a breakout star from Australias WNBL, averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals last season. Bibby, who played for the Indiana Fever and Golden State Valkyries, joins Puoch on the Fire. Wallace, a two-time WNBA champion and Olympic bronze medalist, was drafted by the Toronto Tempo. The Fire and Tempo will build their rosters with more picks in the main WNBA draft on April 13th, with the season starting on May 8th. The leagues salary cap has been increased to $7 million, and the maximum one-year pay has been raised to $1.4 million.
