Show Notes
For this episode of the Sweetspot Podcast, Marc Suess met Eike König in his creative studio in Berlin. Eike is a world-renowned German designer and founder & creative director of the Berlin-based creative collective HORT. He lectures at the HfG Offenbach and increasingly devotes himself to free artistic work. His art combines techniques of typography, pop art, and contemporary design. Eike shares his entrepreneurial experience about creative processes and resources, building and running a design studio, and the heritage of one day leaving it behind. He talks about what he expects from clients, how one builds a creative playground, and what role time plays in the design craft.
Eikes artworks blur the lines between art and design. He discusses with Marc how the two disciplines influence each other, what inspires him and which messages he wants to put out in the world.
Listen now to understand why skill is less important than attitude – and how you can cultivate it! A great episode for all creative entrepreneurs and sweet people who want to learn more about art and design work.
