Stay vigilant and always be aware of your surroundings!Tips for protecting yourself at gas stations ... 1) Keep your head on a swivel and always be aware of your surroundings.2) Don't be trapped between the vehicle, an open car door, the pump, and the hose.3) While the vehicle is being fueled, move away from the gas nozzle to allow for a wider field of view and to allow for an avenue of escape. Standing at the front bumper is a better position than standing at the gas cap.
