Welcome back to the Instant Impact Podcast with your host, Elyse Archer. Today’s episode is a pretty special one. Elyse is chatting with her sister, Sarah. She’s done what a lot of us aspire to do--write a book. Not only that, but Sarah was picked up by a major publisher and landed a six-figure advance.    Elyse and Sarah discuss how to get started writing a book, how to find a publisher and agent, what the entire process looks like, how to make money with a book, as well as how to navigate the ups and downs that come with writing a book. From the outside, it can look like a cinderella story, but there was a lot of hardship and rejection.    Sarah lets us know the importance of starting slow when approaching a book. You don’t have to dive in the deep end at first. Writing a book one step at a time will result in a well put together story with a cohesive idea and story. Most of the hours spent writing aren’t generating words--it’s organizing and laying out your thoughts.    Regardless of your professional space or genre, this conversation promises to bring value to you and open your eyes to the prospect of writing a book.   LINKS Saraharcherwrites.com
