A family home in Western Sydney was shot at overnight with police finding one bullet hole and launching a manhunt for a white Hi-Ace van believed to have carried the gunman. The shooting occurred less than 24 hours after NSW Police discovered a major weapons cache in Revesby, including multiple guns, a grenade, ammunition, silicone masks and fake IDs described as a 'gangster's grocery store'. Police believe the shooting was an underworld message related to Sydney's lucrative drug trade.
