Show Notes

The Run It Straight Challenge, a viral collision sport where two large athletes run at each other at speeds exceeding 25 kilometres per hour, has evolved from an online trend into a state championship event called Run Nation, which sold over 5,000 tickets in Sydney. Neurologists are warning about the catastrophic risks of high-impact head injuries, undetected brain bleeds, and second impact syndrome from repeated collisions. Medical experts are calling for the activity to be banned following a death in New Zealand last year linked to the challenge.
