Australia ranks equal third globally for the highest petrol price increases since the Middle East conflict began, with prices reaching $3 per litre for unleaded in some Sydney areas. Approximately 80 petrol stations across Sydney have run out of diesel, with half also depleted of petrol entirely. New South Wales government officials are considering fuel rationing measures while state energy ministers hold critical meetings to address the supply crisis.
