Queensland petrol prices have surged to $2.16 per litre at some Brisbane retailers, representing a 50-cent increase above average and costing families an extra $25 to fill their tanks. The price spike occurs outside the expected fuel cycle peak, with the RACQ calling it unjustified and Treasurer David Janetsky demanding an ACCC investigation.
