New South Wales Parliament has passed significant gun and protest legislation in response to the Bondi terror attack. The bill cleared the upper house on Christmas Eve with support from Labor and the Liberals, while the Nationals opposed the reforms, splitting the coalition. The Greens supported the gun law changes but rejected the public assembly provisions.
