New data reveals public perception is the biggest barrier to shelter animals finding homes, with nearly 90% of animal rescue centres at capacity due to the cost-of-living crisis. Brockman credits his rescue dog Dougie, adopted four years ago, with teaching him valuable life lessons and wants to change misconceptions that rescue dogs are too difficult or damaged.
