Tensions in the Middle East are disrupting global supply chains and shipping routes, with potential flow-on effects to Australian food and fuel prices. Global supply chain expert Kelly Crossley advises that while sea and air freight costs are increasing by up to $2,000 USD per container, there is no need for panic buying or concerns about immediate shortages. Domestic fuel supply issues appear to be related to hoarding rather than import problems, with sufficient stocks available onshore.
