In the United States, 1-in-3 women-owned businesses is owned by a mom. This plays largely into the economy as a whole, and has bigger impact on local economic development than one may realize. Although a mom may start her business for various reasons, there are unique challenges that comes with juggling these two roles. With that said, the skills it takes to do both are also skills that are overlooked as necessities for success in business.
