John Pearson said it was a bleak irony that his brother Martin was killed on a day that was all about mateship and courage.

“I can’t believe the extreme irony of someone leaving a vet by the side of the road. Being left for dead on Anzac Day, a day we remember mateship and self-sacrifice, and he was left as roadkill.”
