China is increasingly using its dominance in supplying the world’s critical raw materials as a weapon. Earlier this year, it restricted the export of heavy rare earths. Shortly after, industrial companies across the globe began to struggle. How did China become so dominant? Can Europe break free? And, if so, how? To answer these questions, I’m joined by Joris Teer, analyst at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS).
