22 years of volunteer and career experience. Currently an acting Battalion Chief with Fort Myers Beach Fire Department. He is a State of Florida fire and EMS instructor as well as a Level 1 infrared (IR)-certified. Joe is a member of the Florida Gulf Coast Fools and the Kill the Flashover Project. Joe loves teaching thermal imaging, a tool he feels is under utilized in the fire service. 2 of my favorite quotes from Joe are “If your TIC changes modes, so should your tactics" & "Be into the job not on the job.”
