Show Notes

During this field interview at the Hartford Municipal Airport KHXP in Hartford, Wisconsin, Stuck Mic AvCast co-host Len Costa interviewed Larry Overstreet about learning to soar and flying gliders at age 15.

Larry takes us on a journey for a virtual glider flight from start to finish as he explains the preflight weather process, hooking up to a tow-plane, take offs and landings, and everything in between. Also learn what it was like for Larry to earn his glider rating years before his powered aircraft rating and those soaring skills helped him earn his Private Pilot certificate.
