Sam was stalked by her ex-boyfriend.

Following high school, Sam started dating a soldier a few years older than her, but soon moved out of the area. Despite the geographical distance after her relocation, they maintained their relationship from afar. During their time together, he closely monitored her every move, demanded frequent video chats, incessantly texted her, and accused her of cheating. Eventually, he managed to infiltrate all her social media and bank accounts. Recognizing the toxicity of the relationship, Sam's family urged her to end it, triggering an escalation in his stalking behavior.
