Dear Steve and Shirley, I need some advice on a different kind of double standard with men and women. My ex-boyfriend has a lot of flaws and I overlooked them in the beginning because I was really in to him and wanted things to work out. For example, when we met, he told me he lived downtown in a brownstone. So a few weeks later, I went over to his place. I pulled up and he escorted me in through the basement door and told me he hangs out down there most of the time. So we started kissing and making out on the couch and he had managed to take off all of my clothes and most of his, when someone knocked on the door. He threw a blanket over me and went to answer the door. It was a woman at the door............
