Dear Steve and Shirley, I’ve been dating a man for 3 years and we get along great. We’ve talked about getting married, but we have to work out a few kinks first. Both of us have teenage kids from previous relationships and I spend a lot of time with his kids, every other weekend. He is always around my kids because I have sole custody of them. We always joke about how his kids like hanging out with me more than with him. If I am doing something for my kids, I include his kids. I buy them gifts for birthdays, Christmas, or just because. There is no separation to me. But over the weekend, I had the strangest conversation with my boyfriend about the kids..........
