The fear was gone, gone. </p><p>It was replaced by feelings of ordinariness, detachment and a desire to figure out what was going on, to be saved. </p><p>That's how a person is made – he can get used to everything. </p><p>I found myself in a difficult situation, almost hopeless, I was doomed, but the hope in my soul did not fade. </p><p>The corridor was long, huge, with high arches. </p><p>It did not resemble the corridors of spaceships that I had seen in science fiction films. The creatures controlling them had a sense of taste and beauty. At the entrance to the corridor, a bas-relief suite made of a material that looks like plaster or plastic was installed. </p><p>It was smooth, glistening in rare flashes of blue light that rose to the ceiling and scattered sparks. </p><p>These outbursts didn't make me feel dangerous.
