At what point do you begin to question someone's authority? You would be amazed how easily some people are controlled to an unbelievable level, following instructions to do things that go against all reason.
In the 90's, a hoax caller was making managers of fast food restaurants and grocery stores, do unspeakable things to employees and customers, by posing as a police officer, and issuing orders over the phone. An incredible story. But it happened.
