Show Notes

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off by paying homage to Angels' superstar Shohei Ohtani. Not only did he put together another gem last night (40th HR of the season + 7 strikeouts as a pitcher), but he added to his own legend after the game by diffusing a social media controversy stemming from an insensitive comment by Jack Morris. Not only is Ohtani is performing like the greatest player since Babe Ruth on the field, he's also carrying himself like a Presidential candidate off the field. He's the real deal. Later, Jason explains why he likes the New York Giants as a sleeper team in the NFC. Their defense is solid, and they've quietly assembled an outstanding group of offensive skill position players headlined by Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay and Evan Ingram. If Daniel 'Danny Dimes' Jones cant take any kind of step forward as the team's starting quarterback, they could make some noise in the NFC this season. Finally, Jason closes the show with a deep dive into the the Seattle Seahawks' decision to sign safety Jamal Adams to massive contract extension. Adams was one of the worst safeties in the League last season. What's more, the Seahawks defensive improvement down the stretch was just as much a product of the mediocre quarterbacks they faced as anything else. Seattle could come to regret this signing very soon.
