Show Notes

On today’s episode, Jason and Producer Rob open things up with a quick shoutout to Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers for bouncing back following their stunning Game 4 loss and win Game 5 of the World Series. Next, Jason takes a small victory lap following Kyler Murray’s virtuoso performance on Sunday Night Football against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Don’t look now but the Arizona Cardinals could threaten for the NFC West crown. Later, Jason explains why it’s so clear by now – if it wasn’t already before – that Tom Brady made the right choice by leaving Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are clearly the best team in the NFC, and they’re showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. On the flip side, the Patriots appear to be a middling football team and are suddenly on the verge of completing their first October in 20 years. But, be wary Bucs fans as the addition of mercurial wide receiver Antonio Brown could throw a monkey wrench into all of this. Jason also shares his thoughts on Odell Beckham Jr’s unfortunate knee injury and explains why Baker Mayfield should still be able to thrive without him at least in the short term, and later tells us why the Detroit Lions’ come-from-behind victory against the Atlanta Falcons could give them the momentum they need to make a playoff push this season. Finally, Jason closes things out with the Monday Night Football edition of The Best Bet.
