Show Notes

On today's episode, Rob G and Gavin kick things off with a quick note explaining why they won't be going too deep on Las Vegas Raiders' defensive end Carl Nassib becoming the first active NFL player to come out as gay. Maybe other pods will have something profound to say about it, but not this one. The guys did discuss, however, whether or not Paul George is changing his playoff legacy before our eyes. Coming into this postseason, basketball fans were still calling him 'Pandemic P', a reference to his woeful performance in The Bubble last season. Has he done enough through the first two rounds of these playoffs to shed that label? It really is a fascinating discussion. Later, Rob G hijacks the show to do a deep dive into the viral clip of Tom Brady mocking an anonymous NFL franchise for deciding not to sign him in free agency. Most would argue that any team who passed on Brady must have made a colossal mistake, but Rob G argues differently. At the time, Brady was coming off arguably his worst season in a decade, so it's hard to blame an NFL front office for turning him down. Finally, Gavin closes the show with a very special 3-for-1 edition of the Best Bet as we lead into tonight's Western Conference Finals Game 2 between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers.
