He became unemployed and guilted me and my wife into giving him $500 /mo, free childcare, gifts and more because of sob stories about his crapy life and ex. He tried doing this to a bunch of our mutual friends, but they all saw through the manipulation. My wife and I had yet to develop healthy boundaries, so we enabled him for years until we moved thinking we were helping him. Cut him out of our life and now we're in a healthier place now.
