S3 Ep 105The Elementals Gathered

We think of them as separate. We learn of their natures when we are but small children. Fire burns. Water flows. Earth turns. Air blows. But as we grow older, we learn that the natures of the great elements are not so separate. The great Elementals—Fire Air, Water, and Earth—weary of their own natures, wonder what it would be like to trade places… Find out what happens when they do in this episode. S2 Ep 52The Defiant Little Giant

The bear bore down on a wide-eyed little girl who swept a cloak of feathers over her shoulder and seemed to vanish. She didn't really vanish. The little girl, whose named was Turtle, had transformed into a little blue bird that darted out from under the massive girth of the lunging beast. She swooped around and flapped and rose up into the air. On one side, the bird saw the silver harper playing her enchanted harp, trying to sooth the savage bear. On the other side was the giant, wider than three strong men, taller than a cornstalk. He wasn't always so. He wasn't always a giant. He was once a scrawny young man. The harper was once a traveling songstress. The bird-girl was once just a girl. All three were as they were now because of some magic beans. Cob never liked being a giant. What if his wish to grow smaller was granted…and twisted? Find out how in this episode of Storyfeather. Genres: Fairy Tale, Fantasy Storyfeather Shared Universe: The characters in this episode begin their adventure in the Season One episode called "The Green Magic Bean." They continue their adventures in "The Blue Magic Stew" and the "The Red Magic Dread," also in Season One. And the story is inspired by the fairy tale called "Jack and the Beanstalk." S2 Ep 51Where Is Speed's Shadow?

"There are unnatural things that feed on every part of a vibrant living natural creature," Lady Umbersmith said. "Blood. Bone. Fat. Salt. But only one type of being in the world is known to possess a soul. Humans. And there is one type of being who feeds on human souls. I suppose in this country, the closest word for it would be 'ghoul.'" A medical examiner is in the midst of investigating an inexplicable—and maybe supernatural—mass murder when her favorite detective disappears. Find out what happens in this episode of Storyfeather. When the people covered head to toe in hazard suits and sporting their own oxygen tanks showed up in her room, Zel was clear-headed enough to realize that she might have been exposed to something. S2 Ep 49Crimson and King

It had been a nervous jest for them not to give each other their names when they first met. The wolf had claimed that giving his name would give her power over him. She was the granddaughter of an alchemist. And was to be an alchemist herself. She, for her part, refused to give her name because she had been afraid of him. He could have and probably had learned it long ago, for even as he watched over her, his kin and kind watched over her family. Out of that jest grew a superstition. The girl and the wolf would not give each other their true names until they fulfilled their common quest. A red-hooded alchemist and a king among wolves sit by a winter fire after one of their many adventures and speak of the curse, the death, and the enemy that brought them together. Can their friendship, forged in tragedy, survive the cold winter? Find out in this episode of Storyfeather. Genres: Fairy Tale, Fantasy Storyfeather Shared Universe: The characters and events in this story are introduced in the Season One story called "The Crimson Hood," and there are references in common with the Season One story called "The Everwalker." S2 Ep 48Mission Beyond the Veil

The diplomat beside Ursa was a last-minute addition to the crew. He was king of Earth's only moon, Luna. He was assigned to be the mission's ambassador, should they have need of one. To his credit, he had made his intentions clear to the captain. A successful mission would catapult him into a position of much greater power and prestige. He would become a historical figure. So would Ursa. So would Captain Cooper, Mutt, Binker, Caspar, Mally, Walker Hati, and all the rest of the crew. The crew of the Harbinger travel through a possibly artificial anomaly at the edge of the Helios solar system. What happens next? Find out in this episode of Storyfeather. S2 Ep 43The Prisoner Under the Sea

He was tossed overboard the breaking ship. It was night. The torches from the ship were drowned. The stars and the moon were blocked by storm clouds. The only light to see by was lightning. It was by chance that he surfaced that first time. He struggled to tread and to see anything he might hang on to. Lightning flashed and he saw nothing but waves. They pushed him up and pulled him down. And one of them loomed above him. In vain, he pumped his arms and tried to swim away. The wave descended and swallowed him. S2 Ep 42The Crown of the Sky-God

The gods were fallen. It took many generations for humankind to learn of this. Many prophecies and visions. Many failed quests by heroes and explorers who sought to find the truth of those prophecies and visions. It was not known how or when it had happened, and perhaps a few gods still lived, but it was well-known by Damario's time that the gods had fallen. And they left chaos in their wake, a chaos that followed from the unraveling of everything that the gods—for all their faults—had held together. The gods are fallen, and without their influence, the mortal world is in chaos, until a hero fulfills a prophecy… Find out what happens in this episode of Storyfeather. S2 Ep 31Glyfarien's Tongue

The spoon was created by a mage who took the quintessence of creativity from the legendary bard, raconteur, and wit known as Glyfarien, at the moment of his death, and transferred it into a silver spoon. Glyfarien was said to have the proverbial silver tongue (some say the mage made the spoon from the bard's tongue, which is a more likely story, though such a thought is unsavory to most). S2 Ep 30Modern Blood

I'm no scientist, but I ended up learning a lot about blood when I was young. I have—or had—an inherited condition called thalassemia major. My medical charts have all the details. I don't need to go over it. Suffice it to say, I had a fairly serious version of the condition and had to get regular blood transfusions. And because the transfusions raised my iron levels, I had to get something called chelation therapy. And I had to worry about dying before my parents. And leaving my little sister, Gina, all by herself to deal with everything. Along came Modern Blood. How does a recipient of a remarkable new blood substitute both benefit and suffer from the wonders and horrors of the revolutionary treatment? Find out in this episode of Storyfeather. S2 Ep 26The Queens of Time

"They were known as the Queens of Time," Gramps said. "There were three of them, one for each of the keys." Ryne looked forward and up to where his grandfather pointed. On the wall was a small glass case and mounted inside were three ornate keys. They looked similar, though the designs were slightly different. Each key was made of metal with a polished oval stone set in the middle. One stone was red, like coral or jasper. Another was green like jade. And the third was black, like onyx or obsidian. If time is eternal, then only those who are eternal can govern time. Hear the tale of the Queens of Time in this episode of Storyfeather. S2 Ep 6The True Tale of Jack Sprat

Had they listened to their father, the children would have been safe in their beds on that blustery night. But as it was, they were shivering before a pitiful fire no bigger than a candle flame and just as delicate, while a pack of goblins stood by the cave mouth arguing over what to do with their prize of three healthy children. When three children are captured by a pack of greedy goblins, they decide to summon a rescuer who may be even more dangerous than their captors.
