Today we are visiting Worthing, which is a seaside town in southern England. And we’re in a little restaurant in Worthing called Fiordilatte, which has a bright sign with all of the colors of the rainbow and an amazing gelato selection. Raspberry, lemon, chocolate, vanilla…why, Fiordilatte even has pistachio gelato which is the color green! Today’s story is about Fiordilatte’s very best customer, a little boy named Jack.

Everyone thinks that they know all about fairies, but they don’t. Not really. Of course there is the Tooth Fairy, who flies silently into sleeping children’s bedrooms after they lose a tooth to leave them a surprise under their pillow. She’s a legend! But there are loads of other types of fairies too that you probably have never heard about. There are sunshine fairies, and long grass fairies, and even lazy fairies! Jim was the son of a cowboy, and lived on the broad plains of Arizona. His father had trained him to lasso a bronco or a young bull with perfect accuracy, and had Jim possessed the strength to back up his skill he would have been the best cowboy in all of Arizona. Today Jim goes on adventure with a very unlikely companion.

On one of the upper branches of the Congo river lived an ancient and aristocratic family of hippopotamuses, which boasted a pedigree dating back beyond the the existence of mankind—far into the dim ages when the world was new. We continue the story of a young hippo as he goes on a very interesting adventure.
