“Every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow.” said my dad while I tried to convince him to change my school. He thought he was wiser than the greatest Chinese philosophers and quite frankly it made me sick. We are wealthy but I don’t get to reap many rewards of that wealth. My parents grew up in poverty and worked their way up. Today my dad is a well renowned architect and my mom is the CEO of a major tech company. They attributed their success to the determination that came from wanting to escape a life of poverty and struggles.
