As I opened my eyes, the first thing that hit me was the cold stone floor that I was laying on. I had no idea where I was or how I had got there. I sat up and looked around me, I realised I was in an alleyway, but I had no memory of how I had ended up there.
My first instinct was to cry, but I knew that that wouldn’t help me, so instead I stood up and decided I would try to look for help somewhere. I began to wander the streets, looking for somewhere r someone that might take pity on me.
After about ten minutes of walking around I saw a sign on a building, it said “Foster Home” My heart leaped,
“Surely they will help me!”
I went and knocked on the door, it was opened by a kind looking lady.
“Can you help me please? I have just woken up in an alleyway, I don’t know who I am or where I am from!”
“Come in child, we will take care of you.”
