Andrea is a laboratory pathologist who suddenly finds herself on the other side of the doctor-patient divide. Specialising in analysing and detecting changes in cells and tissue in the body, her main role is to identify diseases, particularly cancer. She had previously been able to detach herself from the potentially life changing news that she would give. Her perspective changed dramatically, however, when her husband was diagnosed with rectal cancer.
