The Great Treasure:

The Brave Hero of the Seas Chapter 8: Leviathan’s Test

The Leviathan towered above the water, its eyes glowing like two suns in the mist. Harry, Ariel, and Leo stood frozen on the floating platform, the glowing crystal map still hovering beside them.

"What do we do now?" Leo whispered.

The massive sea creature circled the platform slowly, its long body shimmering like liquid moonlight. Despite its fearsome appearance, it didn’t strike.

Instead, it spoke—in a voice that rumbled like distant thunder.

"You who awaken the path of stars… are you worthy to follow it?"

Harry stepped forward. "We came here seeking truth, not just treasure. We’ve faced danger, solved riddles, and worked together to come this far."

The Leviathan lowered its massive head toward them. "Then you must face the Trial of Hearts."

With a roar, the water rose and wrapped around the platform, lifting it high into the sky like a tower. All around them, scenes began to form out of light—memories, dreams, fears.

Harry saw an image of his father lost at sea, calling for help.

Ariel saw herself lost in a maze, unable to read her maps.

Leo saw a giant metal cage closing in on him, locking him away forever.

Each of them began to panic.

"This isn’t real," Ariel said, breathing hard. "It’s a test."

Leo closed his eyes. "We have to remember who we are."

Harry took a deep breath. "We are brave… and we believe in each other."

He reached out his hand. Ariel took it. Leo climbed into Harry’s pocket.

"We face this together!" they shouted.

The illusions shattered like glass. The platform descended back to the lagoon.

The Leviathan rose higher and let out a thunderous cry—not of rage, but of approval.

"You have passed the Trial of Hearts. The true path is now open."

A section of the crystal map broke off and floated to Harry. It became a golden key.

"This unlocks the Gate of Stars," the Leviathan said. "Beyond it lies the treasure that time forgot."

Then, with one final ripple across the ocean, the Leviathan vanished beneath the waves.

Harry held the golden key tightly.

Ariel smiled. "We’re closer than ever."

Leo squeaked, "Let’s find that gate."

And so, the Red Wind set sail once more—toward the stars, and the secrets that waited beyond them.
