In this podcast, Katherine analyzes the extensive report from the Department of Justice on the Uvalde school shooting incident in Texas, released a few weeks after the incident. She breaks down the facts, failures, and the lack of proper response failing to neutralize the active shooter, resulting in 19 children and 2 adults killed, over an hour response time, and a failure in leadership and protocol. Katherine also discusses the importance of active shooter training being crucial for law enforcement and stresses the need for coordinating across multiple agencies in times of crisis. Recommendations for the future are suggested in hopes of faster, more effective responses in an attempt to prevent such incidents and minimize casualties.
