This week Starter Girlz sit down with Trenell Walker, certified rehabilitation counselor, Zig Ziglar Certified trainer, speaker, and newly published author. Trenell was following his passion for playing football with a dream to relieve his then single mother from the financial burden of raising a family. On October 20th, 1995, however, his life was forever changed when a tragic accident while playing high school football left him paralyzed from the next down. Trenell, through the encouragement of his mother and the strength of his family, turned his depression around using what he calls the "TRENELL Effect." He teaches others how to apply these seven principles to overcome obstacles. In this episode, Trenell walks us through his journey, his recovery, and what the TRENELL Effect represents. He is a shining example of what he says "temporary defeat doesn't mean permanent failure." Welcome to episode #133.
