How George Lucas Wanted Padme to KILL Anakin with a Knife on Mustafar! - Star Wars Explained
In Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, George Lucas almost approved of a very alternate ending with Padme trying to kill Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar just before Obi-Wan Kenobi showed himself. I think this would have shown great character development and overall arc for Padme.
