There may be multiple generations of Star Wars fans for whom the name Gary Kurtz doesn't ring a bell. For others, knowing he was a producer of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back might not convey the significance of his contributions to the galaxy far, far away. Today, we honor and remember Kurtz, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 78.
