On Episode 56 of Stand and Deliver...Patrick and Bob discuss the disturbing case of a student arrested in Canada for expressing his opinion...and then try to decide how long it will take for this to be done in America. A 16-year-old student in a private, Catholic school was ejected from his school for disagreeing with rules regarding biological males and females in school restrooms, and eventually arrested for trespassing when trying to return to class. Canada does not abide by the U.S. Bill of Rights, but our concern is that the U.S. will soon be the same way. Cancel culture is real, and expressing opinions that challenge the prevailing Leftist orthodoxy is a recipe for disaster. The guys also try to peel back the layers of the Artificial Intelligence onion. With major U.S. publishers turning to AI to write stories for them, the questions of liability and of First Amendment protections begin to turn in many different directions.
