Samuel Anoints David

Discover the importance of character in your walk with God as we study Samuel anointing David. This message unpacks why God values what is unseen, how humility and integrity are tested in ordinary days, and how your reactions in disappointment reveal your true heart. Get inspired to defend others, seek daily renewal in Christ, and let your actions in private align with your public witness.Scriptures Referenced1 Samuel 16:1-13; Proverbs 19:17; Isaiah 5:2-3; Jeremiah 17:9-10; Romans 5:3; Galatians 5:22-23Key InsightsCharacter is who you really are.Sometimes position and title are the genesis of a downfall.Your actions and reactions are your responsibility. How you leave a season is probably more important than how you start it.God’s plan is bigger than our greatest disappointments.God prioritizes relationship over resume. The most important season is the waiting.Enjoy the gift of ordinary days. What we cultivate in private will eventually manifest itself in public.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/samuel-anoints-davidSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

King Saul

King Saul’s life holds a powerful mirror to the struggles we all face with fear. Sometimes the greatest obstacles are not obvious sins but more subtle anxieties, doubts, and worries that quietly entangle our hearts. In this sermon, we examine Saul’s story, peeling back the layers to reveal how fear—whether of enemies, people, or losing what we hold dear—can become a devastating force in our decision-making and spiritual walk.Scriptures Referenced1 Samuel 13:10-13, 15:17-24, 18:12; Psalm 23:1-6; 14:1, 56:11; Proverbs 3:5-6, Matthew 6:34; Luke 12:4; Colossians 2:10, 3:3; Hebrews 11:6, 12:1; 1 Peter 3:14-15; Revelation 21:8Key InsightsThe closer you get to God, the more clearly you see your sins. There’s a reason the Bible tells us not to fear. When you trust in the Lord, you don’t panic. With the Lord as your shepherd, you don’t need to fear because He’s always enough. It’s enough to know who knows the future.Fear of others causes you to lose your real self, who you are. When your identity is tied up in your position, it’s misplaced. If you truly revere Christ in your heart... if your identity is truly established in Him, your fear truly doesn’t stand a chance.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/king-saulSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Ruth

Skipping to the “good part” may seem tempting, but doing so robs us of the wisdom and intimacy found in the hard seasons. In the book of Ruth, we journey through four distinct spiritual seasons: suffering, healing & gleaning, obedience, and redemption. Each one plays a vital role in shaping the testimony and in preparing the heart for restoration.Remember that God doesn’t waste anything, including pain. The gleaning season, when Ruth gathers leftovers, reveals that there is something valuable left to gather in our brokenness. These seasons refine us and prepare us for the fullness of blessing. Listen to this powerful sermon to understand why every spiritual season has a reason.Scriptures ReferencedRuth 1:15-16Key InsightsOur testimonies include our challenges, trials, wounds, and scars.Sometimes the scars we carry become places that testify of the goodness of God.God will finish what He’s started.God will send allies in challenging seasons to accomplish what God has for us.We need to learn the lessons of what we’ve walked through.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/ruthSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Hannah (Letting Go)

Motherhood often feels like a nonstop evaluation of what you do or manage in a day, especially around Mother’s Day. But we are reminded that, just like Hannah, a mother’s identity is rooted in being seen and loved by God—not in her endless tasks or visible results.Hannah's pivotal moment was when she opened her heart to God and was reminded of her worth, not just when her prayer was answered. This Mother’s Day, discover deeper comfort and worth in God’s unconditional love rather than the pressure to produce or perform. Listen to this uplifting message for more insight and encouragement for moms.Scriptures Referenced1 Samuel 1:1-28, 2:1-2; John 1:12; Galatians 5:22-23; Philippians 2:3Key InsightsYour identity isn’t found in what you produce. It’s determined by God, who created and loves us.God’s voice trumps all other voices. When you’re Spirit-led, you can walk in peace.Comparison is the thief of joy.The greatest thing Hannah did was ask for a son and let it go.When we are obedient to the Lord, it ripples well into eternity.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/hannah-letting-goSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Gideon

In Judges 6–8, Gideon goes from hiding in fear to leading a miraculous victory over the Midianites, but not because he was strong, confident, or capable. In fact, he was the opposite. When God called him, Gideon saw himself as the least in the weakest clan. Yet God responded, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.” The story shows how God gradually increased Gideon's faith, highlighting His strength rather than Gideon's abilities. In the end, Gideon's victory highlights a foundational truth: when we move in faith and obedience, God handles the outcome. We don’t need to be strong when the One who fights for us is.Scriptures ReferencedJudges 6:12, 8:22-23; Isaiah 55:8; Romans 8:31; 2 Corinthians 12:9; Hebrews 11:6Key InsightsWe often try to fix symptoms. God wants to fix the root cause.God has an uncanny knack of picking the most likely candidates. It is never about your ability. It is always about your faith. The starting place of your faith is acknowledging the existence of God.Anything that takes the place of the Lord is an idol.God first asks us to remove the thing that has taken His rightful place. You cannot defeat your demons if you’re enjoying their company.God’s way will require very little of you and a whole lot of HIm.Faith requires us to go against our natural instincts.God will always do the heavy lifting if you’ll let Him.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/gideonSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Worship

We are all wired for worship, whether we acknowledge it or not. Romans 12:1-2 shows that true worship is a life laid down before God, shaped by His mercy and love. However, left to our own devices, we naturally begin to worship whatever captures our attention. This misdirected worship never satisfies because it was never meant to.True worship, however, is an outward expression of a heart deeply connected to the Father. It reflects not the culture around us, but Christ. This worship is an invitation to the best life God has for us. Listen to the full sermon to explore how real worship reorders every part of our lives.Scriptures ReferencedGenesis 22:1-19; Exodus 20; Joshua 4:21-24; Matthew 15:8-9; Romans 3:23, 8:28, 8:37-39, 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:1-10Key InsightsWe are created to worship by design.Without focus on God, we will worship lesser things.God does not share worship because He knows what is best for us.True worship flows from intimacy with the Father and His mercy towards us.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/worshipSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Easter

The decisions we make shape our lives, but none compare to the choice to follow Jesus. We often overlook the spiritual impact of our choices, but the gospel urges us to recognize the eternal importance of saying "yes" to Christ. This isn’t about fear-based religion or just avoiding hell. The heart of the gospel is relationship—life with Jesus, now and forever. Choosing Him means stepping into a love that defeats death and a grace that defeats shame.Scriptures ReferencedIsaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23, 10:10; Revelation 19:6-9Key InsightsThe greatest choice you will ever make is the one to follow Jesus.God isn’t looking for what you’re doing wrong; He’s looking for a relationship with you. You’re invited to God’s table. The feast isn’t just about enjoying the food. Palm Sunday

Love is the most powerful force on Earth, yet it's often misunderstood because we view it in selfish ways. It's easy to love when it's convenient, but Jesus calls us to a higher standard—love that serves others, even when it's difficult. That kind of love we’re called to live isn’t possible on our own; we need the help of the Holy Spirit to love like Jesus. Yet that cost leads to transformation, not just for the one loved, but for the one loving.During Holy Week, Jesus didn’t just speak about love; He lived this kind of love. From washing the feet of His disciples to willingly going to the cross, Jesus showed that real love always comes with a cost. If you’ve been holding on to past pain or disappointment, maybe it’s time to release that and cling to the Source of love Himself.Scriptures ReferencedJohn 3:16, 13:33-34, 14:21; 1 Corinthians 13:4-13; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 13:8Key InsightsYou cannot love God and not love people.Loving people isn’t easy because people are people.Jesus was weird, and we are called to be weird, too.Love that costs you nothing is not love that transforms anything.Love doesn’t just forgive failure, it makes space for it.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/palm-sundaySubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Walls of Jericho

After the fall of Jericho, Achan defied God's command by secretly concealing forbidden treasure. His private sin led to public loss and the death of others. Contrast that with Rahab—her faith, risky and visible, led to life not just for herself but for her family. Both stories show that our choices can affect others and shape the legacies we leave behind. Like Rahab, someone must stand up as a curse-breaker. Jesus did this for us, providing a heritage we cannot earn but can receive. Listen and consider the kind of legacy you’re passing on.Scriptures ReferencedJoshua 2:8-11, 5:13-15; Romans 8:28; 2 Timothy 2:23; Hebrews 11:31; James 2:25Key InsightsGod uses broken people. What you do doesn’t just impact you.Rahab’s faith saved her family and changed her legacy.Achan's act of disobedience had a profound impact on the entire community.God is not on your side, but He is for you.All families have brokenness, but someone can stand up to stop it.Jesus was our curse-breaker.You can’t earn your place in God’s plan, but you can receive it.If you belong to Jesus, you’ve been called to be conformed to the likeness of His Son.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/walls-of-jerichoSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Water From the Rock

What if your faith journey isn’t what you expected? When life doesn’t go as planned, do you trust God or let frustration take over? Discover how faith can shift everything.— Life rarely unfolds the way we imagine. Many believe that if we follow God, everything should be smooth. But Scripture shows that obedience doesn’t always mean ease. The question is, how do we react when things don’t go as planned? When challenges arise, will you lean into faith or let disappointment cloud your vision? When your journey takes unexpected turns, remember—it’s not about you completing it. The Exodus Into the Promised Land

Your past will throw everything it has at you, but God’s future for you is greater. Stop looking back and step forward into the life He has prepared for you.— Like the Israelites, we sometimes feel trapped by our past, fearing that we’ll never fully escape its grip. But here’s the truth—when God delivers you, His power leads you forward. It might try to chase you down, but it cannot overcome the One who goes before you.God didn’t just rescue Israel; He positioned Himself between them and their enemy, and He does the same for you. Instead of letting fear dictate your future, it’s time to trust the God who redeems. Jesus: The One Thing

Is Jesus truly your One Thing, or just one of many? A life built on Him stands firm through every storm. Listen and allow Him to be your firm foundation.— Many claim Jesus is important, but is He truly the foundation of your life? If Jesus is just one of many priorities, your faith will waver when trials come. But when He is your One Thing—the unshakable center of your life—everything else falls into place and this leads to security, peace, and purpose.A life built on Jesus isn’t just about Sunday worship; it affects every decision, relationship, and action. The Plagues & The Passover

"Why did God send the plagues?" They weren’t just punishments—they were declarations of His power over all creation. Each plague struck at Egypt’s gods, proving that Yahweh alone is Lord.— The ten plagues were not random disasters; they were strategic acts of divine authority. Each one progressively dismantled the Egyptian belief system, proving their gods powerless before the God of Israel. Water turned to blood mocked the Nile god, darkness silenced the sun god, and the death of the firstborn shattered Pharaoh’s own claim to divinity.God wasn’t just setting His people free—He was making a statement to the nations. The same power that overthrew Egypt’s gods still reigns today. Will we recognize Him as Lord, or harden our hearts as Pharaoh did? Discover how God reveals His authority in every generation in today’s message.Scriptures ReferencedExodus 12:3, 12:11-13; Deuteronomy 16, 32:8-9; John 12:1, 12:12; 2 Timothy 3:8Key InsightsWe must read the Bible for what it says and not what you want it to say.Moses grew up under the influence of Egypt and its gods. There is significance to the plagues to display God’s power as Lord of all creation and to set His people free.A hardened heart will bring God’s judgement. Moses and the Burning Bush

God invites you to come, but on His terms. The Bible is clear—when God calls, He expects obedience. Are you showing up the way He asks or the way you prefer?— The burning bush wasn’t just a moment for Moses—it is an invitation to step into God’s presence and be transformed. Just like Moses, many of us have "shoes" on that can keep us from encountering God. These things—from significance and control to complacency and confusion—must be set aside if we want to fully encounter God.How we respond to God’s invitation reveals how much we truly revere Him. Do we respond from a place of humble obedience or convenience? What's holding you back?Scriptures ReferencedExodus 3:1-6; Matthew 6:16-18; Philippians 2:9-11; 1 Peter 1:13-16; Hebrews 4:16, 13:8Key InsightsWhen God tells you something, you’re expected to obey. How many times do we show up and want to approach God on our own terms? You might come the way you are, but you won’t leave that way.We serve a holy God.When it comes to fasting, it’s not about what you give up, it’s about who you give it up for.The primary reason we fast is to be in the presence of God.How we treat others is a direct reflection of how holy we believe God is.You won’t obey a voice you don’t recognize.Significant time in His presence will cause you to realize how small you are and how holy He is.The primary reason we fast is to be in the presence of God.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/moses-and-the-burning-bushSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Joseph the Dreamer

God always completes what He sets out to do. A word from Him fuels your faith and prepares you for what’s to come. Will you trust Him in the waiting?— Joseph received a powerful vision from God, but his journey was anything but immediate. Betrayed by his brothers, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison, he had every reason to doubt. Yet, God's promise was still unfolding.A word from God isn’t just for you—it’s for those around you. When God speaks, He sets things in motion, even if you don’t see it right away. Jacob - Birthrights and Blessings

Why did Esau get angry when Jacob stole his blessing but seem unconcerned when he traded his birthright? Listen as Pastor Barbie shares about the power of blessing.— Esau’s reaction reveals a deep truth—he didn’t understand the value of what he had until it was gone. He traded his birthright for a bowl of stew in a moment of impulse, driven by hunger instead of wisdom. He viewed his birthright, which defined his identity and role in God's plan, as worthless in that moment. When Jacob received Isaac's blessing, Esau cried heavily, realizing he had lost something irreplaceable. Blessing, once spoken, was sealed. It carried the weight of divine favor, authority, and future prosperity. How often do we treat our own God-given gifts with casual disregard, only to mourn their loss later? God has placed blessings within reach, but they must be received and embraced. Esau’s story warns us not to underestimate the power of words spoken over us and through us. Listen in and discover how to receive and walk in God’s blessing today.Scriptures ReferencedGenesis 25:21-34, 27:28-29; John 20:21-22; Ephesians 1:3; Hebrews 12:16Key InsightsBirthrights and blessings are two completely different things.Birthrights are positional and relational. They are about family and the future.Blessings are precious. They are irrevocable and should be spoken.God designed us with a desire to have blessings and truth spoken over us.The greatest breath-blessing we could ever receive is the Holy Spirit.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/jacob-birthrights-and-blessingsSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Abraham and Isaac

Are you willing to lay down your best plans for God's perfect will? Abraham placed his unwavering trust in God, even when it defied his understanding. Discover how surrender opens the path to divine provision.--We all have dreams, plans, and ideas we believe will lead to success. But what if God is asking us to lay them down? Abraham was prepared to sacrifice Isaac, trusting that God would still fulfill His promises. His faith wasn’t in his plan, but in God's power.God calls us to surrender not because He wants to take from us, but because He wants to give us something greater. When we choose faith over control, we make room for His miraculous provision. What “Isaacs” in your life need to be placed on the altar?Scriptures ReferencedGenesis 22:1-18; 1 Samuel 15:22-23; Romans 12:1; Galatians 2:20; Hebrews 11:1Key InsightsGod never said that our understanding is a prerequisite for our obedience. It takes great faith to surrender the thing you believe belongs to you.God requires us to sacrifice our great ideas and best intentions. When we hold too tightly to the gift, we lose sight of the Giver.God will only multiply what we are willing to surrender.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/abraham-and-isaacSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Abraham

Whose story are you living? We’re invited into God’s plan, and it’s about Him, not us. Don’t settle for less—see how surrender leads to His ultimate blessing!--When we mistake the privilege of being part of God’s story for the right to take the pen, we risk settling for less than His best. Like Abraham, we often seek God's blessing on our own plans instead of submitting to the greater promise He has for us. But God's faithfulness goes beyond our limits—He invites us to trust and walk faithfully, knowing His plans are greater than ours.Remember that God will only multiply what we are willing to release, and when we let go, He leads us into something greater. Surrender and worship are essential; they bring revelation, align our hearts with God, and remind us that His promises depend on His nature, not ours. Are you ready to trust Him with your story? Noah and the Ark

Is your faith anchored in reverent fear of God or complacency? Learn from Noah's unwavering faith, grace, and rescue mission.--Noah’s faith was not passive—it was built on absolute certainty that God is who He says He is. In a time when society ignored and rejected God, Noah walked in obedience, trusting in God's Word despite ridicule. His faith was not just belief; it was action. God called Noah to a rescue mission by grace, showing that faith involves responding to God's call with conviction and respect, not just receiving blessings. We frequently desire a faith that offers comfort without requiring us to confront our challenges, and bestows blessings without the need for obedience. But true faith, like Noah’s, is anchored in a deep, reverent fear of God—acknowledging His power, sovereignty, and justice. Joshua MacLeod delivers a strong sermon encouraging us to assess if our faith is rooted in God's Word or just our personal views. Listen now to be challenged, encouraged, and equipped to live out a faith that truly honors God.Scriptures ReferencedGenesis 3:1, 3:3, 6:5-9, 7:5, 19:1-11; Joshua 6:21; Ezekiel 16-49, 33:11; Matthew 5:29-30; Luke 17:26-29; John 14:6; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Thessalonians 5:2; 1 Timothy 2:3-4;2 Peter 3:9-10; Hebrews 11:1-7; Jude 1:7; Revelation 20:10Key InsightsWe want a faith in God that doesn’t require fear of God.As you’re looking at your faith in God, is it anchored in reverent fear or are you taking Him lightly?God will take drastic measures to protect His plans.God doesn’t force people to do what we want them to do. God allows the consequences of our sin.Jesus joined into the suffering.God allows things He hates to accomplish what He loves. The Gospel message is a message of grace.Noah was given grace and then given an assignment. Cain and Abel

Real death is separation from God, the source of joy and love. The “Way of Cain”—following our own path—leads to death. God offers the true way.--Cain’s mistake wasn’t just his offering—it was his heart. He knew what God required but chose his own way, bringing the best of his labor instead of the blood sacrifice God had commanded. His disobedience was an attempt to redefine righteousness on his own terms. But no matter how good our efforts seem, they can never replace God’s perfect plan. When we rely on our own strength, we walk in Cain’s footsteps—away from God’s presence. We, like him, find ourselves separated from God because of our defiance. But Christ offers another way—the perfect sacrifice that restores our relationship with God and leads to eternal life. Listen to this sermon to discover how to reject Cain’s path and walk in God’s truth.Scriptures ReferencedGenesis 3:21, 4:1-9; Leviticus 17:11; Psalm 16:11; Proverbs 13:12, 16:25; Matthew 10:29; John 1:29, 10:1, 14:6; 2 Timothy 2:23; Jude 1:11; Revelation 5:1-7Key InsightsNot every question needs an answer.Separation from God came because we hid from God.Following our own paths for gain or fame leads us away from God’s will.Cain knew what was required, but thought he had a better idea. The best we have is never enough.Christ’s perfect sacrifice creates the way back to God and eternal life.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/cain-and-abelSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

The World Turned Upside Down

Worldly leaders come and go, but Christ’s resurrection changes everything. Listen as Pastor Ronnie shares about seeking truth and letting faith bring peace instead of fear.Scriptures ReferencedPsalm 146:3; Isaiah 2:22; Matthew 24:24; Luke 4:18-19; John 3:16; Acts 17:5-9, 17:11-12, 17:29-32; Romans 14:17; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 2 Timothy 4:3; James 1:20; 1 John 5:19Key InsightsNothing of real consequence will change with a transition of worldly leaders. The reason misinformation spreads is because we don’t research what we like to hear and we ignore what we don’t like.Beware of Bible specialists who focus on only one thing. Everything should point to the main thing. Then you think about the upcoming election, does it cause peace and joy or does it cause anxiety, fear, or anger? The resurrection of Christ changes everything.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/the-world-turned-upside-downSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

What Do You Do When You Want to Throw In the Towel?

We live in a culture where quitting is often a badge of honor. But what if God is calling you to stay. Listen as Pastor Kevin shares what to do when you want to throw in the towel.Scriptures Referenced1 Samuel 15:22; Acts 18:1-11; Romans 11:29, 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; James 1:2-3Key InsightsWe live in a society where quitting has become a badge of honor. The foundational question to answer about starting, continuing, or quitting something is, “Am I called?”You may have many to love, but you only have One to please. The CALL should be the primary factor in whether you stay or whether you go.When it comes to God’s call, you won’t have to make it happen. The Holy Spirit will lead you if you let Him.Walking out on what you’re called to do not only hurts you - it hurts others. When we throw in the towel, we’re left empty-handed.If you’re going to leave, leave with a blessing. You can’t mess up God’s plan.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/what-do-you-do-when-you-want-to-throw-in-the-towelSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Listen as Pastor Alan shares how witness impacts others, and how God brings deliverance even in darkness and bondage.Scriptures ReferencedActs 5:41-42, 16:16-34Key InsightsSometimes we’re “in” it but He’s with us.Doing the work of the Lord and proclaiming His Word will create a stir.Only the light of God can pierce the darkness.God didn’t forsake Jesus and He hasn’t forsaken you.Your witness affects people.God can bring salvation in the midst of death, deliverance in the midst of bondage.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/doing-whats-rightSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Glory to God

Serving obediently, with humility and love builds God's Kingdom. Kevin O'Dea shares stories of dedication and the eternal impacts of everyday acts of faith.Scriptures Referenced1 Samuel 8:4-7; Matthew:6:1, 10:32, 16:26-27; Acts 12:20-23, 13:42-46, 14:8-20; Romans 6:20-23; Philippians 2:5-10; Hebrews 11:6; James 1:17, 4:10; Revelation 22:12-13Key InsightsBecoming like Jesus will do more to bring people to Jesus than any program or event. When something extraordinary happens, it’s easy to elevate people above God.In our culture, just serving without getting anything in return, has largely become a lost concept.Sometimes the promises we are believing God for are not for us, but for a generation to come.Don’t let your disobedience in the past affect your obedience in the present.God will use your sore spots to train you.Self-centeredness will always taint your experience. The Lord is refining you to be more like Him.Your obedience could literally save somebody’s life for eternity.God owes us nothing, yet He will reward us if we seek Him earnestly.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/glory-to-godSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

Radical Change

God is powerful and can transform our lives, but what does it take for that to happen? Pastor Kevin explains that the key is to see Jesus, listen to the Holy Spirit, and receive the strength to follow.Scriptures ReferencedJudges 6:36-40, 7:1-8; 1 Kings 19:11-14; Proverbs 8:17; Jeremiah 29:13, 33:3; Matthew 16:24-25; Acts 9:1-19; Galatians 2:20; Philippians 1:21; Hebrews 11:6Key InsightsThe Holy Spirit wants to be active in your life. The smallest distractions are often the most destructive. What we identify as distractions are often not what He sees as distractions. It is OK to continuously ask the Lord to reveal Himself as who He is.In every situation, look for Jesus. He can be found. We have the choice to see things the way God does or the way we want to.God can handle your questions.God doesn’t consider our immediate circumstances when He asks for our obedience. It’s not enough just to see; we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.Always obey the Lord. Philip and the Ethiopian

Is it possible for every believer to hear and follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance? Pastor Ronnie teaches about receiving the Holy Spirit and recognizing His voice.Scriptures ReferencedJohn 14:16; Acts 8:26-40; Romans 8:9; Galatians 4:6Key InsightsThe Holy Spirit talks to you.Being filled with the Holy Spirit isn’t a one time event. The Holy Spirit can speak to you anywhere. The Holy Spirit is unlikely to ask you to do something big unless you’ve shown that you’re faithful in the little things. We often don’t truly understand what is big and what is small in the Kingdom.Unless we know God’s Word and learn to recognize the Holy Spirit’s voice, it’s easy to think our voice is His.Lent Devotionals (in the app)https://springhouse.captivate.fm/episode/philip-and-the-ethiopianSubscribe & Follow the PodcastDownload our appOur WebsiteOnline Tithes & OfferingsJoin our LivestreamGathering TimesSundays, 9:00 AMSundays, 11:00 AMThursdays, 6:00 PMContact InfoSpringhouse Church14119 Old Nashville HighwaySmyrna TN 37167615-459-3421CCLI License 2070006

What it Takes to Share the Truth

What do we do when we face opposition and are falsely accused because of the Gospel? Listen as Pastor Kevin shares how Stephen walked in faith and avoided using the weapons of this world.Scriptures ReferencedJohn 14:6; Acts 6:-15 & 7:23-42, 44-50, 51-60; Romans 7:6; Hebrews 9:11-12Key InsightsFalse accusations sting and can stick with you.Anger can blind you to what’s truly in front of you.How we go about fighting is just about as important as, and maybe more important than the result. The two fundamental accusations against Stephen were tied to blasphemy.God’s presence can’t be contained.Stephen’s fundamental argument was that they were resisting the Holy Spirit.Truth will always offend the one who believes the lie. There’s never consistency when it comes to people who aren’t leaning into the Holy Spirit. You never have to fight alone.
