David Goffin stopt na dit seizoen met tennissen. Met een 7e plaats op de ranking is hij de beste mannelijke Belg in het tennis. Johan Van Herck zat tijdens de carrière van Goffin op de eerste rij als Davis Cup-kapitein. Peter Vandenbempt zat dan weer op de eerste rij tijdens België-USA op het WK voetbal in 2014.
