Quite a week for a pair of Royals rookies. Starting pitcher Brady Singer produced six scoreless innings in a victory over the Dodgers on Sunday to end a 12-game winning streak for baseball’s best team. Vinnie Pasquantino homered in that game and several others. He’s hit five bombs in the last seven games and was named AL player of the week.
Performances like that make it easy to ponder the future. Also in a couple of games this season the Royals have started seven position players who qualify as rookies.
