In his first three seasons as an IPL player, Yuzvendra Chahal was in the playing XI once. He barely got any opportunities with his Ranji Trophy team - Haryana.
In 2014, he was picked by Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and things turned around. He conquered a batting paradise wicket and small boundaries of M Chinnaswamy stadium and how. He rapidly rose through the ranks and became Kohli's go-to man. Lining up alongside R Ashwin, Chahal took Rajasthan Royals to the IPL finals last year and in the IPL 2023, he moved past Dwayne Bravo to become the highest wicket taker in the competition's history.
