Dr. Nikhil Verma from Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and head team physician for the Chicago White Sox discusses how testing, contract tracing, vaccinations and precautions have evolved for MLB spring training and the 2021 season. There will be continuing flexibility to modify the protocol based on changes in guidelines as they unfold.
Dr. Cole also describes the AC joint shoulder sprain of Chicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen, along with treatment and recovery. The Bulls recently announced the injury, saying that Markkanen has a sprained right acromioclavicular joint at the top of the shoulder, which happened when Markkanen was fouled as he was driving to the basket.
