University of Idaho Secures $7M DOD Funding for Military Health Research, Sets Enrollment Record
The University of Idaho has received a $7 million grant from the Department of Defense to fund seven research projects aimed at improving the health and well-being of military members, veterans, and their families. These projects will utilize artificial intelligence to address chronic pain, infectious diseases, and PTSD, as well as develop wearable devices for early detection of family issues during deployments. The university has also set a new enrollment record with over 12,000 students for the spring 2026 semester.
