Former NHL player and Chicago Blackhawks broadcaster Troy Murray, known as the heart of the organization, passed away at 63 after a long cancer battle. Murray, a standout forward, spent 15 seasons in the league, winning the Frank J. Selke Trophy in 1985-86 and contributing to the Blackhawks 1995-96 Stanley Cup victory. After retiring, he joined the Blackhawks broadcasting team in 1998, calling their 2010, 2013, and 2015 Stanley Cup wins. Murrays impact extended beyond the ice, as he was a key figure in the alumni group. His passing leaves a significant void in the Blackhawks organization.
