Flows on the Spokane River are high but dropping, with potential muddying from Hangman Creek. Fishing remains solid above the confluence or in the valley on nymph rigs. The Coeur d’Alene River is rising slowly, while the St. Joe is improving with surface action. Lakes like Amber, Medical, Coffeepot, Quincy, Burke, Martha, Caliche, Lenore, Diamond, Sacheen, Waitts, and Hayden are all producing fish. Wind River spring chinook limits drop to two adults starting March sixteenth. Lake Coeur d’Alene chinook are biting up high. Walleye are turning on at Moses Lake and in Columbia River spots. Marine areas one through four open for bottomfish and lingcod. Razor clamming starts Tuesday. New hunters should sign up for safety classes ahead of spring turkey seasons.
