Geb Galle, a Pearl Harbor survivor, recounts his harrowing experience aboard the USS Nevada during the attack. He shares his role in powering the ship out of the harbor, saving the waterway from blockage, and his subsequent service in nearly twenty major battles during the Pacific War. Galle also recounts his survival on a raft for two days during the Guadalcanal campaign. Post-war, he used his skills to start a business and worked as an engineer for the Air Force and Army Corps. Now over one hundred, he resides in assisted living, content with his steady meals and warm bed.
