By 1952, it was leased by the First National Bank, leading to its demolition and replacement with a modern bank. The property was owned by the Central Business Property Company, founded by Fred K. Jones, a Harvard graduate who built a real estate empire in Spokane. The First National Bank branch closed in 1991 and was replaced by Numerica Credit Union in 2013, keeping the corner vibrant in downtown Spokane.
