NASAs Artemis Two mission, set for Wednesday at 3:24 p.m. Pacific, will send humans around the moon for the first time since Apollo Seventeen. Led by Commander Reid Wiseman, the crew will travel 4,000 miles past the lunar surface on a 685,000-mile journey. The mission, riding the Orion capsule atop the Space Launch System rocket, will test cell effects, radiation, exercise routines, and psychological operations for future moon landings and beyond. With everything looking solid, the mission aims to pave the way for NASAs fast-track to Artemis Fours South Pole landing by early 2028, a lunar base, yearly moon trips, and eventual Mars missions.
